A longtime resident DJ at Klang Club, one of Italy’s most cutting edge venues and nightlife hotspots, Elia Perrone debuts his first Album “Colorful Journey” on Unclear Records, the seminal underground label he founded in 2011. Inspired by his many spiritual travels around the world and his life experiences, his dreams and visions, these 10 delightfully beautiful works play gently along dreamy landscapes and faraway fantasies: wandering the land of the unknown and finding joy in his inner discoveries, he brings us on a tour of the soul, where music and melodies paint a picture of happiness. Opening “Dreaming Love”’s distorted groove, xylophone and pads welcome the trippy percussive sounds of “Harmony” and the passionate rhythm and vocals of the title track, an intriguing and thrilling lullaby. “The Magic Rain”’s bass notes and tribal beats turn into an Acid synth line, while “Anima”’s dark strums introduce the minimalistic ethnic swing of “Lost In My City”. “Walk With Melanie” is grandiose and bright, its keyboard arpeggio flowing through the velvety atmospherics. “Evil Wind”’s bongos, Ambient synths and choruses and “Thoughts Of Space”’s upbeat vibe and quirky talking create an uplifting high feeling. With closing “Goodbye”’s majestic echoes and celestial notes, Elia rounds off this outstanding collection of tunes in the most magnificent way you could expect. No wonder why none else than Luciano picked him as one of his favorites and invited him to play at his Ibiza parties: Elia’s productions and taste are truly unique and set him apart as an undisputedly talented artist.
